R.A.M.P. is a multifaceted program that will equip your young athlete (ages 6-18) with the best possible techniques, skills and movements to propel their sporting activities to the next level while arming them with the tools to help prevent injury – all with a fun yet straightforward approach.

Peak Performance is a 6-week, 12 session group training, designed to help you get stronger.
Come and join renowned climbing coach, Jimmie Redo, and strength conditioning coach, Dave Wahl, for a 6 week complete performance program. This program is designed to help you reach your climbing goals by highlighting your personal areas of need.

The IFSC Lead World Cup is coming to Movement Climbing + Fitness!
On October 8-9th, 2011, USA Climbing is hosting the first IFSC Lead World Cup in over 22 years in Boulder, CO at Movement Climbing + Fitness. This event is expected to bring the best climbers from more than 25 countries together in a great venue in a great city for competition climbing.
We will keep you updated over the next month, but here are a few preliminary details to get you started:

Outdoor Ride with BBQ at UPSLOPE BREWERY

Come join us for our Outdoor Ride each Saturday from 8:30 am - 10:30 am! Its a great way to put your indoor cycling training into practice, and also a great way to meet other riders in your community.
The ride is great for all levels, and this Saturday, July 9th, the ride will finish at UPSLOPE BREWERY for a free BBQ and beer tasting...what a great way to start your weekend!

Our first session of summer camps is about to get underway, and what better way to start the summer than with some exercise and motivation provided by our great instructors! Our camps combine both climbing and fitness instruction, in a safe and enthusiastic environment that will keep your child motivated and ready for more! There are 3 different age categories, so no matter how old your child is, they will feel comfortable each day surrounded by their peers.

What are the Divisional Championships?
Our Division's best will compete over the course of two days with the hopes of earning an invitation to The National Championships in July! Over 150 kids will compete so come support the next generation of climbers by volunteering or just coming to cheer them on!
What does this mean to Movement members and guests?
The gym will be closed on Saturday, June 11th, and Sunday, June 12th, in order to make this event as successful as possible.
All normal classes and schedules will resume on Monday, June 13th.
As for climbing terrain:
- the left-side of the grey wall will close on Wednesday morning, for the duration of the event
- the right-side of the grey wall will close on Thursday morning, for the duration of the event

This weekend and next at Movement are filled with great things to do!
This Friday, we have our Movement Lab that will explore movement techniques with Emily Seymour returning to teach!
On Friday and Saturday we have two AcroYoga Workshops taught by Yuki T. that will each explore the Yin and Yang aspects of Acro yoga.
And on Saturday we also have our Outdoor Ride that ends at UPSLOPE Brewery for beer tastings and a BBQ!
And don't forget that next weekend is the SCS Youth Divisional Championship!

This First Friday Lab is for anyone who wishes to enhance their movement vocabulary. We will connect with the
five elements through Yoga, Dance and Martial Arts practices. Breath expansion, meditation, and kinesthetic sense awareness all support the mind-body experience.

Yin and Yang
Explore both yin and yang aspects of AcroYoga practice. The Yin of AcroYoga is therapeutic practice with Thai massage. The Yang of AcroYoga is dynamic acrobatic practice. Yin and Yang can not be separated; they complement each other to create a whole.

Bolder Boulder Movement Party
When/Where: In our parking lot for the duration of the race!
The course for the Bolder Boulder will now take runners directly in front of Movement! If you aren’t in the race yourself, come show support for friends, family and fellow Movement folks that are participating.

Chautauqua Park--The Satellite Boulders

The Access Fund and Team Sik Bird are participating in a Team Works event on Saturday, May 28th at the Satellite Boulders in Chautauqua Park. Come join our youth team members and help clean up one of our local climbing areas. This is a great event that teaches our young climbers how to be responsible members of our community and they could use your help!

Bring your children, ages 1-6, to Creations Playspace on Saturday, May 21st, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, where we will provide storytime, yoga, art, games and music.
Please provide your child with a sack dinner.
This is your chance to get out and enjoy an evening while we take care of your little ones! We require that you stay in Boulder County and carry a cell phone (and stay in range!).

On the first Friday of each month we offer a new topic that will be presented and taught by one of our instructors. Each lab is part class and part workshop, with a focus on new and creative movement practices that will challenge your body and mind! This month, join us to learn how to climb injury-free!
In this Movement Lab, Yvette Frankel will teach us how to recover from injuries and to climb well, both mentally and physically, using her Pilates background. Be prepared to move and to receive instruction on technique, awareness, visualization, breath, mind/body alignment and integration--all to help take your climbing to the next level!

This workshop will be comprised of a presentation and discussion to build an intellectual understanding of the chakra system, followed by chakra-focused flow yoga practice. We'll close by integrating what we've learned through conscious rest.
