Larry Schultz designed The Rocket yoga routine ‘because it gets you there faster’. This high energy, upbeat sequence is a reconfiguration of the first and second series of Ashtanga yoga – rooted in eastern tradition but creatively presented to fit the Western modern thinker. This practice works with the nervous system to increase energy and vitality. We will focus on the Ashtanga Tristana: Ujjayi breath, Bandhas (energy locks) and Drishti (eye gaze) to make the sequence a moving, breathing meditation.
Sarah Teddy: completed both her 200 hour and 50 hour teacher trainings through the It’s Yoga system under Larry Schultz and David Kyle. Her classes incorporate an upbeat, fun and energetic Ashtanga based flow. Sarah strives to lead a class in which individuals of all levels and yoga backgrounds feel comfortable and able to develop their own personal practice. Sarah also holds a certificate in Ayurvedic yoga massage, and so works with students to find space within each posture, along with working with the breath as the foundation of the practice. Sarah holds Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and in Human Development, and she places great value on the mind and body connection. She practices yoga as a way of finding balance in her own life and hopes to assist others in finding the same.
