Join us on Saturday, March 13th from 12:30p – 2:30p for a POWER THERAPEUTIC YOGA WORKSHOP! Brent Miller is teaching, and will take an in-depth look at the relationship between unlocking your shoulders and tapping into your core’s true potential. ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE RED CROSS TO BENEFIT HAITI!
This workshop provides a greater understanding of anatomy and alignment as well as the therapeutic tools necessary to maximize the health and power of your shoulders. With this heightened sense of shoulder awareness, we are then able to access our core with greater intelligence and ferocity.
Brent’s teaching style incorporates therapeutic alignment principles, conscious breathing, and rock music. He teaches a powerful flowing class geared towards athletic individuals who are interested in optimizing their physical potential.
Cost to Movement Members: $5 donation (minimum)
Cost to Non-Members: $5 donation (minimum) plus a $10 reduced day fee

By popular demand, Movement is adding many more classes to the calendar for the months of February and March! By adding 14 classes to the schedule, we are bringing the total offering of yoga, cycling, fitness, climbing and strength conditioning classes to well over 60!
Looking to strengthen specific areas in order to better your climbing? Dave Wahl of renowned Athletik Spesifik is joining us on Mondays and Tuesdays to help climbers reach their goals. Read more here.
Not enough Cycling? We have added THREE cycling classes to the schedule! In addition to all of our other classes, you can also now join us on Monday evening (a second class!) or Tuesday morning (also a second class!) for Group Cycling. And if you want a real challenge, come check out the Advanced Group Cycling on Sunday mornings!
Want more yoga? Come to Gentle Yoga on Sunday afternoons at 4:00p to round out your weekend and prepare for the week ahead!
And let’s not forget about Fitness! We will now have Pilates on Sunday in addition to several new classes during the week.

It is competition season! Movement would like to wish TEAM SIK BIRD all the best this weekend at the ABS Regional Championships and next weekend at the SCS Open National Championships!
The top competitors from the American Bouldering Series (ABS) Regional Championships this weekend will have an invitation to compete at the ABS National Championships, to be held the weekend of February 13th in Virginia.
Those competing in the SCS Open National Championships will be vying for the title!
Team Sik Bird holds a great deal of talent across the age categories, so you can expect a great showing. Check back here after the events for results!

R.A.M.P.: Reaching Athletes’ Maximum Potential
Heath Croll, the Youth Fitness Specialist at Movement, is starting his Advanced Youth Fitness Program – R.A.M.P. – in January!
R.A.M.P. is a multi-faceted program that will equip your young athlete (or soon-to-be athlete) with the best possible techniques, skills and movement to propel their sporting activities to the next level while arming them with the tools to help prevent injury – all with a fun, yet straightforward approach.
Heath has worked with multiple schools around Boulder and has successfully trained athletes in Colorado and on the East Coast to reach their maximum potential. He has a B.S. in health and Physical Education and a Minor in Coaching. He is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist, as awarded by the National Academy of Sports. Additionally, via the International Youth Conditioning Association, he is a Youth Conditioning Specialist.
All classes are held twice a week and are geared towards youth ages 6 to 19 – click here for full information!

Monday, Nov 30th will launch our Movement Mamas Group! Join other mothers looking for friendship and fitness. We will meet every Monday from 11a – 1p to take yoga, climb and do group fitness classes while our children are in Movement’s childcare: Creations Playspace.
The cost is free to members and only $12 for non-members! No pre-registration is required so just show up and join us!
Children are $5 per hour per child in Creations Playspace.
No experience is necessary and each Monday will be facilitated based on the group’s needs. With an already great group of mothers working out here at Movement, we are excited to offer an organized meeting time each week so we can all meet new folks and get a great workout!

Thank you for your patience as we work with MSA, the manufacturers of our auto belays, to determine the safest course of action regarding the use of these devices.
As most of you know, there was a nation-wide Stop Use issued in mid-October due to accidents that occurred wherein descents were not properly arrested by the ball bearing mechanisms in the device. We spoke to MSA today and they are currently working with the manufacturer of the bearings to try to determine the cause of the reported accidents. They expect to have answers within the next week at which time, they will contact us and advise us of next steps.

In the meantime, we have a Partner List at the Front Desk and have also re-set the entire West side of our bouldering with over 40 excellent new problems!
We will continue to keep you informed as we know more and again, we thank you for your understanding!


Movement is proud to introduce The Sessions, taught by Head Coach Justen Sjong. This series of 6 work-outs is geared toward providing a structured group environment in which each client can work toward reaching their personal goals.
The Sessions will occur every Wednesday night from 6:30p – 8:30p and coaches will work with each individual to determine strengths and weaknesses in order to set realistic but challenging goals for each client. The Sessions are geared towards adults.
Enrollment is ongoing and the first of The Sessions will be held on October 21st. Each client will attend a total of 6 Sessions (they do not have to be consecutive). It is helpful if you sign up with a friend, for roping-up purposes, but not mandatory. If you have questions or would like to sign up, please see us at the front desk or email us here and remember, registration at least 24 hours in advance is required! The cost for The Sessions is $150 total.
